CrimboJumper.A.S.nails

I cant believe its December already!! I don't know about everybody else but I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet! Oops.
But I'm definitely getting excited and feeling festive. And this is my first nail art Christmas post.

These are my take on a cheesy Christmas jumper with a fairisle print. I used Essie for the white and a nail art pen in red for the print detail. I used a polish from Barry M's glitter range - Rose Quartz Glitter. I love it! With this you could try one coat over another colour or, like I did, about 3 coats to get it super sparkly! It's so pretty, the photo doesn't really do it justice.
(The bauble is from my lovely tree!)

Have a great evening!

Paris.A.S.nails

Apologies for my lack of posts in the last 2 weeks!! I know Sophie has been blogging her share but I've just been super busy with work/this time of year.

This week starts and ends with mine and Sophie's birthdays - Yey!! Happy Birthday for yesterday Soph :)

And I am off to Paris for mine this weekend which is why I couldn't resist trying some France inspired nail art today.

The red is Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish. It's such a gorgeous colour, plus it has a thicker and flatter 'Maxi Brush' which makes application quick and easy. I used two coats of this with a clear top coat using Barry M's clear base/top coat.

The base of my ring finger is Essie - white and I used some red, white, blue and black nail art pens to draw the Eiffel Tower, little heart, and French flag colour stripes on my the thumb nail.

These have definitely got me very excited about going! I hope you like them.

Have a lovely day everyone!

PinkFriday.A.S.Nails

Yes that's right, it's Pink Friday again! Yay! So if you're not aware Pink Friday's are there to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and donate to such a worthy charity. So get those pink polishes, clothes, lipstick and anything else pink so raise awareness!

Today i have some very girly, glittery and pink nails. For these I used Muchi Muchi by Essie - a very beautiful pale pink, and for the glitter fade I used Disco Inferno by Models Own from the Mirrorball collection. I love Essie's colours and thick brushes as they are easy to apply and have a wonderful finish. The Glitter fade was easy to do and I did just end up blobbing (technical term again) most of it on the tips! Make sure you add a top coat otherwise you will find the glitter being a bit prickly and you want it nice and smoothhhhh.

Just a quick note...

PinkFriday.A.S.Nails

Friday funday!!! As you all know it is Breast Cancer Awareness month! At my work we're doing different things every Friday including having a sponsored head shave (not me!) but mainly dressing in pink! Today i also have some Think Pink Breast cancer nails!

For these I used Essie's Muchi Muchi for the base and then Models Own pink and white nail art pens, including Tantrums pale pink nail art pen.

These are simple nails and people will notice them then, maybe even donate to such a great cause! Remember every penny counts! You could even paint peoples nails at work if they donate some money.

Just a quick note...

If you would like to sponsor my lovely friend Harry to have his head shaved then please text MINI64 and the amount (eg. MINI64 £5) For Breast Cancer Care and MINI67 and the amount for MS Society (a charity close to Harrys heart) to 70070. Or you can visit the justgiving pages....

LiquoriceAllsorts.A.S.Nails

Helloooo lovely readers! I hope you're having a good week so far.

To carry on the fun theme this week I have done some yummy Liquorice Allsorts nails! When it comes to actually eating these sweets I only like the pink and blue ones with little balls on. Not a big fan of the square ones. But they do make some fun nail art!

For these I used Essie's Muchi Muchi for the base coat (big fan of this pretty pink) and then a range of Barry M colours and Models Own art pens for all the sweet detail.

These nails are a bit of fun, easy to do and kids seem to love them!

Have a wonderful day readers!

Retro.A.S.nails

Happy happy Friday everyone!!! Another week has passed, very quickly I might add!

Today I have got some cool and slightly retro looking nails. For these I used Essie - Mint Candy Apple and Muchi, Muchi and Barry M - Peach Melba and Berry ice cream. I used Models Own pens for the lines. These were easy to do and fun when it came to deciding what the next nail should have! I think these colours work great together even though I should probably be moving into the more Autumn shades. I think I'm trying to hold onto summer for just that bit longer.

I hope you have some lovely plans for the weekend and planning on rocking some of that new Models Own Mirrorball collection - I know I will be!

Next week Alice will be back showcasing her lovely tan and beautiful nails!

118.A.S.nails

It's another Tuesday! And today I have some nails that some of you will get and some may not...these are my take on the comedy 118 118 advert. And another example of random, un-obvious, 'anything' nail art!

I've drawn the vests that the two guys wear (complete with curly chest hair on the one on my thumb). And their famous moustache, on my middle finger.

For these I used Essie white, Rio red and Rio black. For the skin colour I used Barry M peach melba - a favourite!

Hope you like, and get, these!!

Have a lovely day fellow nail art lovers.

Holiday.A.S.nails

Ok, ok I know most of you would have had your summer holidays by now but I'm just getting excited about mine as I'm off to sunny Cyprus next week and I can't wait!! And my excitement is showing on my nails today as well!

They follow on nicely from Sophie's mix and match design from yesterday as these are holiday mix and match!

Today I have a polka dot bikini, a yummy ice cream, some sunglasses and a beach ball on my finger nails. All with a back ground colour of Barry M - Peach Melba. On my thumb I have a Sex on the Beach cocktail on a background of Essie in white.

These are bright, random and include everything I love about holidays :)

Happy Thursday everyone x

Mix&Match.A.S.Nails

Happy Wednesday everyone!
I hope you're all having a great week so far!

Today i have done a bit of everything. A bit of a mix and match of nails. For all of these i used Barry M, Essie, Models Own and Tantrum. Quite a few brands there! Mix and Matching is great fun and sometimes they don't even have to match. They can be as random as you like which i think is great as my colour coordination is a bit rubbish!

We would love to see all of your mix and match so tweet it to us @cute_as_nails

Have a lovely day guys!

Dots/Stripes/Moustache/Bows.A.S.nails

Yessssss. It's mid week!!! It's all easy riding now. We hope so anyway.

Today I have done some very simple (but pretty and long named) nails as I was feeling that whatever I did I wouldn't be able to beat Alice's A-MAZ-ING 'where's Wally' nails yesterday.

So here they are (ta-daa). For these nails I used my beautiful new Essie Mint Candy Apple nail varnish (I am loving this colour) and Models Own nail art pens in black and white. On my left hand i did white dots and black moustache's and on my right hand i did white stripes (no, not the band) and black bows. Very simple yet pretty and slightly quirky i think?

Enjoy! And try them out yourselves! You can then show us on Twitter or Instagram @cute_as_nails

Have a lovely day everyone!

Medals.A.S.nails

We did it!! Our first gold medals yesterday!! So today we have another nail art design in honour of our Great British team.
We decided to make it an Olympic week for our nails!

The base colour is Essie. It's a pearly white which I love! I use it so much.
On the thumb I attempted the 2012 logo...so hopefully you can see what it is!
And on my two middle fingers I have the two gold medals using Barry M's GOLD!!
For the rest of the detail I have used Rio, Kiss and Models Own pens.

I didn't do exactly the same design on my right hand because it would have been really, really hard.
So I mixed it up by doing the things I find a bit easier. Trying to do the 2012 logo with my non-writing hand would have been a bad idea!

Have a lovely day.

And GO team GB for more medals today!!

London.A.S.nails

Ok, so we've done Union jack nails and we've done Olympic nails but after watching the opening ceremony on Friday night and watching lots and lots (...and lots!) of the Olympic games, I started to feel very proud of us Brits!
So today I have some London nails that are different on each nail.
I've kept those three Great colours. Red with Rio, white with Rio and Essie, & Blue with Rimmel. (Plus a bit of Rio's black nail pen too!)

The London bus on my middle finger and the peace heart on my ring fingers were hard! I had to steady my other hand on the table when I did those!
But favourite is the London underground heart on the thumb.

What nails have you got today?!

Have a great Tuesday! And go team GB!! Woo!

Olympics.A.S.nails

Morning!!

I've been planning on doing some Olympic games themed nail art for a while to celebrate London 2012 and, yesterday, this is what I came up with.

I've chosen to do the five Olympic rings on my fingernails and the London skyline on my thumbs. (I have the London Eye on my left thumb and Big Ben on my right)

This is a simple design but I think it's quite nice because it's not too over the top.
If you like these and want the London skyline at your fingertips too...I used Essie - Adore-a-ball White and Rio nail art pens for the detail in yellow, green, red, blue and black!!

Or, if you have some nail designs of your own we would love to see them! Send your olym-pics to cute.as.nails1@gmail.com for our Nails of the Week!!

Have a great Tuesday!

Mail.A.S.nails

Morning nail art lovers!!
I hope you have been finding our tutorials useful!
Please let us know, we would love to have your feedback and see your photos too! Send them over to cute.as.nails1@gmail.com

Plus, who doesn't love getting nice mail?!
Sophie and I send each other little random things in the post sometimes. It makes a nice change from bills!!

And this is what today's nails are based on.
They work quite well because I've just used black, white, red and blue.
So even though I've included details like stamps and the 'Air Mail' envelope print, it's still kept quite simple.
Here I've used black, red and blue Rio nail art pens and Essie nail polish in white for the base colour.
Hope you like them.

Have a lovely Wednesday!!
