CathKidstonInspired.A.S.nails
I first heard rumors of these pens a few months ago and felt very excited - our favorite brand, doing a nail art pen = a dream for us!
Then a couple of weeks ago a parcel full of the new summer launch Barry M goodies arrived, including these fab new nail art pens in 4 different colours! Lucky Sophie & I!!
And it can be lucky you too! These babies are out in Superdrug and on the Barry M website already. And they are also able in Boots stores tomorrow (17th April)!!
They are priced at £4.99 each and they come in Black, White, Silver & Pink.
They have a fine tip (a little like a felt tip pen) meaning they are so easy to use on the nail. On the first use just remember to pump the tip until the colour starts to flow. They dry very quickly, i had no problems with smudging or running. & with a clear top coat over the design, they last on the nail for ages! I think they're brilliant!!
You can see below what I came up with using the Pink & White pens and look out for my second post using the Silver & Black too.
This floral design is to celebrate the Spring and the sun finally peeping its head through the clouds lately!
I've named them Cath Kidston nails, mainly because we've used the name 'floral' before but also because that is where my inspiration came from. I think they are lovely and subtle but also so very easy to do! With a little help from my Barry M nail art pens of course :)

Grey.A.S.Nails
Happy Friday!!! So i know this is terribly titled but we seem to have a lot of spotty/stripes titles. Alice's Halloween nails have been great this week and I am planning to start doing some scary nails next week!
So today I have some pretty matte grey nails using Models Own 'pinky grey' and 'battleship grey' and then a pretty pink nail using Essie's 'Muchi Muchi' (I seem to over use this one!). I used the different colours for spots and also a white nail are pen - I also used this for the single line on my thumb and pinky. I topped these off with Rimmel pro Matte effect as I love the Matte look! I do think these would look just as great with a nice shine too.
Another note... On Barry M's Facebook page yesterday they were asking what colour nail art pens people would want if they were to do some. We are very much hoping they will be doing some pens as they are pretty essential when trying out nail art. We love Barry M polishes and can't wait for these new additions to their ever growing collection (and ours!)! What do you all think?
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

FallingSpots.A.S.Nails
Hello readers! It's Monday which means the start of another week of work until we can all play again!
Today I have (something I struggled to name) some 'falling spots' nails. These were very easy to do so you can all have a go and it would be great to see what colour combinations you can all come up with. For mine I used Barry M grey and Models Own white nail art pen to do the spots and stripes. I also wanted to add a matte effect so I used Rimmel Pro Matte effect before I did the spots to give it a bit of contrast. You can always use a dotting tool or even a tooth pick for the spots.
Anyway you lovely readers, I hope your Monday isn't too bad. Just keep on smiling!

Candyspots.A.S.nails
I find spots the easiest nail art to do so experimenting with these candy colours was fun!! They remind me of sweets! And I used Barry M's great range for every colour!!
On my other hand I had to concentrate more. But because there is so much colour going on each nail it doesn't matter too much about getting that perfect sized dot each time.
Hope you enjoy this burst of crazy pastel colour and have a great evening!

Ladybirds.A.S.nails
I have Shellac in Wildfire Red on my nails and I really didn't want to take it off just yet so thought about a nail art design I could do to incorporate the red I already have on my nails - and these ladybirds are what I came up with!
I used Rio nail art pens in black and white for her spots, head and eyes! Plus a top coat of Barry M to make them extra shiny and chip resistant.
These don't require too much of a steady hand so if your new to nail art, I'd definitely recommend these to try!!
I hope you like these!! (as much as my niece does - she wants me to do them for her too!)
And send us your ideas...insects seem cuter when they're painted on your nails...:)

Nails of the Week!!
Todays nails are from Chloe Barkway @chloe0504 on Twitter!
We love these and have done it ourselves! I think she used Barry M Indigo and dotting tools. We also love that she's also done spots on one and flowers on the other!
Keep on painting Chloe! We want to see more!!

Leopard.A.S.nails
Happy Friday to you all!!
Today i decided to try and follow on from Alice by doing leopard print nails.... But with a difference! They aren't your normal kind of colouring for leopard nails. It's nice to be a bit different.
So here they are.... Some very colourful leopards!
For these i used Models Own for the base and then various colours from Tantrum and Barry M's collection for the spots!
I don't know about you but I always struggle to paint my right hand so i decided to paint them the colours i used for the spots and do a couple of white spots on each nail.
Anyway... Have a great weekend everyone! Keep on painting!!!
